‘Full House’ Star Dave Coulier’s Real-Life Plot Twist Will Hit You in the Feels

Dave Coulier just lived out a full-circle moment that would make even Uncle Joey shed a tear. The Full House and Fuller House alum revealed that he was declared cancer-free and became a grandfather — all in the span of one unforgettable day.On the How Rude, Tanneritos! podcast, the 65-year-old comedian, beloved for his zany impersonations and flatulence jokes, spoke about the great day. He told co-hosts and former castmates Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber that the life-changing updates came like a one-two punch of joy. “I got the good news the day the baby was born,” Coulier said. “I heard the news and I was so excited, and then Luc called us and said, ‘Hey, the baby just was born.’ It was an amazing day.”Coulier had been battling stage 3 non-Hodgkin lymphoma, which he went public with in November. In early April, he shared that he was officially in remission, thanking family, friends, and fans for their love and support during what he called an “emotional roller coaster ride through cancer.”As if being cancer-free wasn’t enough of a win, his son Luc and daughter-in-law Alex welcomed their first child, a healthy baby boy named Chance Lee. “He’s 7 pounds, 6 ounces,” said Coulier, beaming. “We’ll see him in 12 days. They’re in Sacramento, and we’re in Michigan.”Never one to pass up a well-timed joke — even at a tender moment — Coulier admitted he might’ve misfired. “Everybody was teary-eyed texting when the baby was born,” he said. “And I wrote, ‘I can’t wait to see that kid’s expression after he pulls my finger for the first time.’ Total silence.”Luckily, Luc got the punchline a few minutes later, redeeming Coulier’s classic dad joke. “They’re sleep-deprived,” Barber quipped. “Give ’em grace.”Related: Dave Coulier’s Wife Gives Candid Update on His Cancer Treatment
