This Exclusive New Tudor Chrono is a Tribute to Red Bull’s F1 Racing Team

What’s black and white and read all over? A newspaper is the classic answer to this perennial dad joke, but an equally correct response is this new Tudor Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25” watch. An ode to the Visa Cash App Racing Bulls Formula 1 Team, the 42mm chronograph case is cast entirely in ultra-lightweight, black carbon fiber, as are the end-links, just like the body of F1 race cars. But while most black watches feature a black dial for a super-stealthy aesthetic, Tudor has chosen a white face for a high-contrast design. Carbon sub dials at 3 and 9 o’clock and a date window at 6 all add an extra pop as do a blue seconds scale around the outer ring and red accents.

The crown, and screw-down pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock are constructed in titanium and coated with a black PVD finish, helping the watch achieve a 200 meter water resistance. The screw-down, titanium case-back also gets the PVD treatment and features a relief of the Racing Bulls 2025 livery as well as a unique, limited edition number. Inside the carbon fiber housing beats Tudor’s MT5813 automatic calibre, which is based on Breitling 01 column wheel chronograph movement. Tudor says the unit is good for 70 hours of power reserve and is accurate to -2 to +4 seconds a day.

The piece comes on a hybrid leather-rubber strap to keep sweat from the track from degrading material. Secured with a titanium pin buckle, the band stays focused on the finish “tire pattern” with blue stitching to match the dial accents. Limited to only 2,025 examples, the Black Bay Chrono “Carbon 25” is now available at select boutiques and retails for $7,575. For more information visit tudorwatch.com.
